MIDHANI Ex-Servicemen Association, welcomed President AIFEPSEs & Affiliated to the Forum

Sri S Krishna Mohan, President AIFEPSEs and Sri Thakur Vinod Singh had a meeting with MIDHANI Ex-Servicemen Association on 16 Oct 2017. The MIDHANI brethren are newly joined veterans under Ex-Servicemen Quota. The strength of the veterans is being emphasis due to reason elaborated below.

To meet the demand of BDL ESM Assn on pay fixation of Ex-Servicemen re-employed in BDL, BDL management had constituted a committee comprising of members of BDL Management and BDL Ex-Servicemen Association to visit various DPSEs to know the methodology of initial pay fixation of Ex-Servicemen is being done there. The team visited Bangalore DPSEs like HAL, BEL, BEML and MIDHANI (Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited, a PSU under MoD) Hyderabad etc. and BDL Ex-Servicemen Association came to know that only one Ex-serviceman is re-employed in MIDHANI which was very poor/ in-appropriate as per reservation policy applicable to ESM Category in CPSEs. They (Sri Thakur Vinod Singh & Sri S Krishna Mohan President and General Secy of BDL ESM Assn) took up the issue with concerned Dept of Ministry of Defence and ensured filling up the backlog vacancies of 15 Ex-Servicemen in recent recruitment in MIDHANI. 

With above generous approach of BDL team (now in Forum), the newly recruited MIDHANI brethren appreciated the work of President & VP (Head DPSEs) AIFEPSEs for their self-less efforts towards Ex-Servicemen privileges. In the meeting, they apprised the President about Ex-Servicemen issues related to MIDHANI. The President Shri S Krishna Mohan updated brethren about the issues of pay fixation in PSEs and briefed about Forum’s meetings with Hon’ble MoS (P), Defence Secretary, Secy DESW, Secy DPE, JS P&C, DDP etc. Midhani Ex-Servicemen expressed their interest to join this Forum to get support in resolving ESM related issues and subsequently, affiliated to the Forum. President assured them to extend Forums full support to their Association in all possible ways.
