Meeting of Forum’s BHEL Haridwar veteran with Hon’ble MP Shri Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank for Pay Fixation Issue

      BHEL Haridwar Veterans Shri Pankaj Gupta, Shri Mukesh Chandolia, Shri Vivek Mallik, Shri Indrapal Sharma and Shri Yogendra Purohit met the Member of Parliament Shri Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank on 04 August 2017 at his official residence over the issue of pay fixation in CPSEs.

     They briefed him about the issue of discrimination faced in terms of non fixation of initial  pay of Ex-Servicemen re-employed in various CPSEs. They explained him over the genesis of pay fixation citing various Government Orders starting since 1958 and apprised him that the implementation of the same is already in vogue in Banking and other Financial Institutions but not in CPSEs. He was very quick to understand the root cause of problem, signed the DO letter and asked them to reach Parliament to meet Dr. Jitender Singh, MoS in PMO over the issue. But meeting was not materialised on the day due to an emergency meeting called by PM in relation to Vice President election. Later month, they, along with President and VP of the Forum, met MoS and handed over the DO letter with file. MoS assured them that DoP& T would take necessary step to remove ambiguity prevailing in existing policy.
